Bowen for Hay-fever

Hay-fever can be the most debilitating allergy I have personally had. I used to live up in Wiltshire, surrounded by farmland, crops, trees, you name it. From April onwards, I would have to start using Hay-fever medications. I used to take a non drowsy, well known antihistamine every morning and a drowsy antihistamine also at night time before bed. In between, I lived on nasal sprays for hay-fever. It was miserable. Itchy eyes, runny or blocked nose and a feeling of exhaustion all the way through to September time. I even tried nasal Neti Pots to rinse through my sinuses. I dreaded these months as it was miserable, and i could never leave the house without a packet of tissues.

It was probably back in mid 2010 that one of my beauty salon clients told me she used to suffer badly with hay-fever. "Used to?" I asked?!
I needed information and quickly. She told me about this therapy called Bowen. I didn't care about how it worked, I wanted to try it. I found a lady in a town near me and booked in. I was uneasy about having to book 3 appointments upfront - one a week for three weeks, but still, I went ahead.
That first treatment, I lay there wondering what on earth I was doing there. Ok, so I was very relaxed, but really?
I started to notice the results within 24 hours of that initial treatment. By the end of the first week, I was noticing more and more improvements, not just with my hay-fever, but also with my asthma and neck/shoulder tension.
Fast forward to the final of the 3 treatments and I was convinced and had booked in for my maintenance of a monthly treatment. I was able to give up the nasal sprays, the 2 types of antihistamines altogether and smugly tell people about the success I had with Bowen for Hay-fever. To this day, I still do not suffer with it and feel sorry for those who do. Of course I recommend people to try the Bowen, but they often think it is a sales pitch as I am a Bowen Practitioner.
Certainly with friends, I gave up mentioning it and enjoy my hay-fever free lifestyle. They know where I am if they change their minds.
